“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” These words came from the mouth of a legendary writer/cartoonist known as Walt Disney. According to him passion and dedication in what you do leads you to excellence. He started from being a factory worker while studying. After that, he entered opening a business but he failed. Walt never stop aiming to reach his dreams. He has a determination to continue what he has started. Eventually, after a couple of failures he has reached his excellence.
Excellence is a prize won by determination to reach your dreams, It should be practice as an attitude and not a skill.
Excellence is the result of dedicating ourselves to improve. One must invest his time, efforts and the whole of his self to reach excellence. We are born starting from nothing but as time goes by we improve. According to a famous author Zig Ziglar “You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.” By cultivating those talents that you are born with; it opens your door to self-mastery and excellence.
Champions do not become champions if they win an event but it is in the hours, days, weeks and months preparing for it. The victorious performance is only a demonstration of their excellence. Walt has invest a lot of his years to become what he is now. He didn’t get it in just a couple of hours. The dedication of the whole of ourselves is necessary to become successful.
Have you ever wondered if Walt give up from those obstacles? He might not became the Walt that it is known today. Brian Tracy, a successful author/chairman claimed “Never consider the possibility of failure; as long as you persist, you will be successful.” As long as we have a courage to fulfill our dreams, nothing is impossible for us to succeed.
Do not view failure as an end but a beginning. Learn from it and move on. Falling is always a part of the feedback of a life. An American author F. Scott Fitzgerald once said that “Never treat a single defeat with a final defeat.” Great people became great because they learnt to overcome it and not commit the same mistake again. Always fail forward.
Reaching excellence is not like breathing in outer space; impossible. We can reach it by having a courage to pursue our dreams. Do not be succumb by those failures just stand and face it with all your guts. By doing this reaching Excellence is just a one-ruler far from you.
